We had a super hot week last week, which inspired me for a couple new juicing recipes. Luckily, watermelon is in season. Here are a few of my favorite ways to enjoy it...
Juice It
What's red and green and red and green and red and green and spins over 200mph?

Sandia-menta Agua Fresca (Blended or Juiced)
Watermelon
Mint
Lime
(If you are wondering Sandia, is the Spanish word for Watermelon. It's too bad I didn't think of this blog theme before Cinco de Mayo. *The traditional Sandia Agua Fresca includes added water and sugar, and doesn't have any mint.)
Watermelon-mint Orange Juice (or Smoothy)

Freeze It
Hostess with the mostess tip
Up your game at parties with Watermelon and Mint ice cubes!!1. Buy Watermelon and Mint
2. Put it through the juicer
3. Put into ice-cube trays and/or popsicle trays,
$. Freeze and whallah!
Don't have a juicer?
You could also blend the watermelon, and place small pieces of mint right into the ice-cube tray.Make your life easier tip
Get silicone popsicle trays. I love, love, love mine! With a toddler, I especially like the compact size, as he can eat it all before it melts! The silicone ice cube tray is great too. I had this on hand from when I was making and freezing baby food. It way better to deal with then old-school ice trays. The ease-of-use makes the silicone tray more than worth the investment.Still too much work you say?

Liquor it
If you haven't had St Germain before, you need to go out right now and get it for the party you're going to want to though to try out these new recipes. It is seriously the best liqueur ever.St Germain is an Elderflower Liqueur made only in France. Apparently the flower is so delicate that it loses its fragrance when processed, so St. Germain makes the batch fresh, once a year when the flowers bloom.
Here are a couple of fun recipes: And because you are using fresh juice, it is healthy, right?
